So with another insipid result at home we look forward to 3 away games on the bounce. Fortunately for us, our away form is the bollox. However, our next 3 away games are Brighton, Huddersfield and finally Reading who are all ready to pounce on us and in Huddersfield's case in blooming good form. How do you think we will do? How many points should be a minimum? Will we be still in the top 2? If so will it be by virtue of goal difference or points ahead? For me, I am going for 1 win and 2 draws. Can't say who the win will be against but I can't see us losing any of them.
Target should be 9 points. Would be satisfied with 6 or 7 points. Don't let any of the other teams win and hopefully aim to beat Huddersfield at least and Reading. Keeps them away from us.
Before today's game I said I'd be happy with three draws. But Brighton look the part tonight against Reading. Maybe it's good that we'll be underdogs. I saw us today and my head says we'll get 2 or 3 points from the next three games.
Oh dear and people wonder why others think we're deluded. Can't beat Bristol City at home, but we will get 6 or 7 points out of 1st, 3rd and 5th away. Personally I'll take 3 or 4. Suspect we'll win at Reading and lose the other 2.
Where did i say we would get 6 or 7? If you read the post more carefully it says that "I would be satisfied" with 6 or 7 points. I then go on to say don't let any of the 3 beat us.
5 points would be fantastic. If we up our work rate like the opposition do to us, we'll be fine. Too often we get outrun and outfought.
It's football and it's Newcastle United so anything could happen. I'd be very happy with 5 points but I think Brighton could definitely turn us over considering the current form of both sides so it could be more like 4 points.
In a perfect world yesterday will be the wake up call we needed and our imperious away form will mean we smash all 3 games. We really need to as well or we can basically forget about winning the league with Brighton and Huddersfield in such form. In reality we are only gonna win if we make big changes from yesterday - Murphy in for Mitro, Gouff in for Perez and Elliott in for Darlow. I'll go for a wildly optimistic 2 wins and a draw.
I think we will get two points. I would have fancied 6 or 7 but I think Rafa has put us under pressure with the home form. Point at Brighton and Reading. Could easily be just the one though as Brighton in stellar form. Its a difficult one to assess though. Away from home we've been brilliant so it could just as easy go a different way and see us pick up 7 points. I haven't got a clue basically. Put it this way I would assess it as a terrible betting forum.
For me 3 points against Huddersfield would be ok, can't see us beating Brighton and Reading for me is a draw.
