    One of those matches. One bad and one awful pen decision against us. Hit a post, could have scored five, but couldn't score any. Then they score one when we throw everyone forward. Thank God it's a friendly. Tbf, Roma looked very good for most of the first half, while we showed we need some combination of our best passers on the field against a good team: Eriksen especially, but also Winks and Davies. I thought when they did came on, we looked very good. Georgiu (sic) has impressed me.
    Two posts, another bushel of chances missed, and finally...

    57-43, 15-7 shots, 7-2 on target, 7-2 corners our way. Roma came out strong, but we were the better team most of the night. One of those matches.

    Ah well, decent performance. Giorgiou looked really good and Janssen and N'Koudou combine to actually do something good! Happy days :)

    Ref had a 'mare though and we should have won that, 2 dodgy goals for them and a penalty robbed off us.

    I think we're really good everywhere except for defenders--but we need at least one more CB and FB who are ready for the PL, and possibly two.

    It's a pre-season, so I don't really care, but that's some shocking reffing! <laugh>



    Seems to happen quite often when we play Italian teams, doesn't it?
    Another decent run out against a decent side, though. Getting back up to speed, which is the main thing.

    The reffing was a complete embarrassment and looked like Wimmer was impeded for the third.
    Defensively we look well short of cover for Toby & Jan. But at least Vinnie's on the march - even if it came off his back leg!! They all count......
