    Dear Stoke City supporter's
It is with great sadness that I have to bring you sad, sad new's.
I was given permission too use Steve's p.c. to post this message.

Sadly, Pott's as you all know him has suffered another stroke overnight.
His wife Chris, and his two girls of whom he is so proud are with him at his bedside.

The latest update I have from the hospital is not good. Steve or as you all know him Pottermouth is gravely ill and has suffered with ill health for a few years.

I am a fellow Stoke fan and with all the hope in my heart, I am praying that Steve makes it. Steve is a figher and I know a very frequent poster on the Stoke City forum.

I wish I could write more but, I would like to get back too the hospital too support his wonderful family. Steve has supported the Potter's for around 50 years now. Right now, he needs all the support he can get. I'm told that Steve can hear me, I was with him earlier today. But, the Doctor's say it's a 50/50 either way, for the next day or so.
Although, the doctor told me it's unlikely Steve can make a complete recovery if at all.
With an ache in my heart right now, and close too tears. I will say goodbye for now and hope for a miricle.

I will of course keep you updated.

    Kind Regards

    Kevin Beaman

I am so sorry for the confusion.
Steve was taken ill during the night/Saturday and I had wrtten the Title of the thread earlier today. Then, copied and pasted it onto this board.
i did so because I wasn't sure how to use the site, so, so sorry for the confusion.
I have too tell you all that Steve passed away peacefully at around 3:30pm today.

Again my sincere apologies and best wishes to you all.

    Regards Kevin Beaman

    R.I.P. Steve

I'm absolutely gutted and numb. Never met Potts but felt like I Knew him so well from here and 606. He was a true Stokie and a legend. A proper fan too. Just can't believe it.

    RIP mate!

Read it mate. Thanks for sharing it.

I'm still in shock to be honest. I still can't quite believe Potts won't ever post again. It's certainly going to be a lot different without him. I always thought of Potts (on 606 and on here) that he was the voice of sanity and reason who would often share his wisdom on a subject.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading his posts. He was (no offence to the rest of you guys/girls) my favourite poster.

    He will be sadly missed.

    RIP Potts.

I would like to pass on my sympathies to Potts' family & friends. Obviously we never met, but I always respected his point of view and found him to be a voice of reason and common sense. R.I.P.
