Dick, you have said Thompson and Rudd are signing today on every forum in the history of the World Wide Web - what's going on?
Someone predicted on Tuesday (it might have been DP) after Slade's "6 players" rant, that he would end up with 2. Looks pretty accurate. One will be some old pony keeper on loan like Moore or Rudd, the other will be 31 year old free agent Foley I reckon. Then the wallet will be slammed firmly shut, with any further additions comprising of Network sh1te.
I really don't know what is motivating Roland to keep going with his mad experiment. By every possible standard he is failing- results, poor crowds, dreadful recruitment, a series of failing managers. There has only been one constant throughout this time- step forward our CEO, who happens to be the daughter of Roland's mate. Great thing, friendship, eh?
Watching Fox last year i was sure that L1 would be his level, but judging by what I've seen this year, its sadly not. I've respect for his 'never give up, hard working' attitude but unfortunately everything he does on the pitch is of poor quality. Maybe L2 is his level? although judging by last night, people there said he was one of our worst players. Fox has no pace, I lose count of the balls he slices out of play or lumps up to no-one in particular (he's not alone in that regard). We should be starting attacks through our full backs but this never happens. I'm sure teams still target him as our weak link which is right It's generally gone unnoticed what with Slade being inept and off the pitch matters, but has anyone else noticed ? Makes the decision to sell THD and keep Fox for a slice of the potential fees, rubbish business
Slade told us they turned down a £1.7m bid for him. Either someone is telling porkies or someone is mad.
Can't really judge him this season as have only seen a couple games, but I thought he was apparently improving?
Fox is a poor, poor player. I say that more in sorrow because I want to get behind the home grown lads and support them, particularly under this Regime. As @Talal El rightly says, Fox has two glaring weaknesses in his game - very poor positional sense, and a complete lack of pace. The former then exposes the latter.
