Quite a few stories going around about Ayoze and a potential transfer to Marseille.... https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/a...castle-united-fans-react-to-transfer-reports/
Rumoured to be after cabaye as well. They love a toob connection. Now if we can convince them that Colback is just not appreciated and would do better in France...
Depends on the money, but happy enough to say bye-bye. Again it's a league that will probably suit him very well. Doing Thauvin the world of good, the level's relatively weak or at the very least just not very intense.
Should get him to change his name to Colbaque. I wouldn't sell Perez unless the offer is one we can't refuse (which it won't be being a French club)
I just think when he first came that he had speed of thought, first touch and quick feet that could make him a very good player. Sometimes he seems to try to do too much though particularly when he is put out on the wing. We will probably end up with 3 similar type players next season in Gayle, Perez and Armstrong so maybe its right that he goes - if we can get a good price. Also just checked on Wikipedia and he doesn't seem to get injured much - how's that?
He's done better at a higher level though he was good in the premiership, he's still young and he'll do better in a different system basically ! I'm tired of people being overly critical of our better prospects
Thauvin never looked any good in the Prem though and was always out of his depth. Perez had a great first season in the Prem and has been up and down the last 2 seasons, still showing plenty of quality but with a fair few bad games happening too. Perez does add a lot of skill and flair to the team most of the time, a striker like Murphy is obviously a more effective championship striker, but I'd rather have Perez in the team than Mitro. If Perez is to go, it shouldn't be on the cheap - he isn't a Thauvin/De Jong/Cabella type disaster that we're desperate to get off the books.
I'd not write him off, but he has massively underachieved. He just hasn't developed at all under Rafa. He doesn't really work in Benitez's system. So like Mitrovic I could understand a departure if the money was right and allowed Benitez to put round pegs in round holes.
9 goals and 6 assists this season without being given a particularly good run in the team. Although he's not developed as fast as some have expected he's had a productive season and has adjusted to the tempo/physicality of the English game better than Cabella or Thauvin did and those two came with big fees. I expect him to get a similar amount of playing time next season and I wouldn't be shocked to see him produce a similar tally to what he's done so far.
I think he's got a bit better in recent weeks. I'd keep him for another season as I think he could still be a decent player. Back up number 10 or 3rd/4th choice number 9 next season.
