    Apparently they want Chancel on loan.
    I'm cool with that if we get Townsend as part of the deal.
    Chancel has hardly figured this term and Dummet can play there too.

    Only if it's just a loan deal with him returning and not a loan deal with an agreed fee in the summer he is better in the prem and has looked stunning for his country at present

    don't understand why he hasn't been getting a game ,I think he is better than the 2 centre haves that are playing ahead of him

    He's probably our best CB in my opinion. Maybe there's a problem with him in training or with his attitude or something. I agree, if it's a loan to get Townsend then it's fine as we have cover at the back but could really use the creativity in midfield.

    I assumed it was due to lack of experience. Lascelles has played in the Championship and is captain whilst Clark is the older more mature centre back. If Lascelles wasn't captain am sure Mbemba would be partnering Clark.

    Dont think we should sell him yet. He is one for the future. We have to think of the player as well. Allardyce wpuld turn him into another centre back who launches it up front whenever he gets it.

    If we're not going to play him in the championship we might as well just sell him.

    In the PL he was alright but flawed and we thought a season in the CC would help him improve but he's been 3rd choice between Clark and Lascelles who aren't great defenders themselves.

    He's obviously not going to turn into the player we thought because Rafa certainly doesn't seem keen on playing him.

    Not playing, only loan to them if we get Townsend. That said I have zero faith in Hanley. never liked him when he was at Blackburn.

    Poor idea. If we get a couple of injuries at centre back it would derail the season. Out best centre half for me and has been terrific at ACON

    How would we do if we had a couple of injuries to our wingers? If it's a loan swap it's worth considering. We have extra cover at CB with Dummett and Hayden.

    Both are limited though along with Hanley. Personally I'd be starting mbemba - we look very vulnerable particularly on set pieces.
