The first time Kruis went in to the contact area he had the ball under one arm. Every man and his dog knows the ball will be stripped doing that and it was and he was poor throughout. AWJ and one of the other second rows to start in the next test.. If Webb had been playing I think he would have scored in the first minute, Murray seemed limited in what he can do. Of the three outside halves on tour Farrell is the poorest footballer and the other two's kicking game is just as good as his and I couldn't believe the substitution when Sexton came on.. The starting centre pairing was good. Liam Williams does offer more of an attacking threat at full back. Tipuric is the best of the flankers at winning the ball on the ground and he wasn't even on the bench I get the feeling that the powers that be think that muscle is more important than skill amongst the forwards. Stuart Barnes gets on my bloody tits with getting over the gain line and talking about the kicking game which is an English obsession. Rugby is a handling game as the All Blacks show with their ability to offload quickly and not dying with the ball and their super glue handling.
Best team won with ease really. they could have gone up another gear if it was necessary...Good effort by the lions but they were always going to lose and i said they would by 10 points or more....NZ are just too good at the end of the day....
No hope in hell we'll beat the AB's with a team of 13 plus a couple of dogs British and Irish Lions: L Williams, A Watson, J Davies, woof woof Farrell, E Daly, J Sexton, C Murray; M Vunipola, J George, T Furlong, M Itoje, AW Jones, S Warburton (c), woof woof O'Brien, T Faletau K Owens, J McGrath, K Sinckler, C Lawes, CJ Stander, R Webb, B Te'o, J Nowell.
With the conditions in Wellington being as windy as they no doubt, will be, Farrell's kicking, I feel is really going to let us down on the weekend. He misses too many kicks that an international kicker should make look easy.
They NZ will be confident of winning be an even bigger margin this time i feel with their running rugby that we in the north cant cope with.....35 - 6 home win...
