Preston fans paid their part in this last season - it will be great to see the young lad lead out the teams - would be grateful if you spread the word in Preston circles that we appreciate what the did: Bristol City’s upcoming home fixture with Preston North End will give young City fan Oskar Pycroft the chance to fulfil his dream and walk out on to the pitch at Ashton Gate. Last year’s Sky Bet League One game between the two clubs was the launch of Oskar’s fundraising campaign, and fans from both clubs raised in excess of £10,000 on that day alone. Mascot Oskar led the teams out in his wheelchair, and told a packed stadium that he would love to come back in the future and walk the teams out. His appeal went on to raise over £57,000, which enabled Oskar to have a life-changing operation in May, days after his beloved club had won the League One and Johnstone's Paint Trophy double. Since then, Oskar has been building up his strength and learning to walk. His mum Lizzy recently bought him his first pair of football boots, something she thought she would never do. With both teams promoted to the Sky Bet Championship, Preston’s visit to Ashton Gate on Tuesday, January 12th provides the ideal opportunity for Oskar to fulfil his dream, and to thank fans from both clubs for their generosity in making it happen. http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/oskar-set-the-walk-out-against-preston-2862398.aspx
