.. in fairness AKCJ I wasn't ... the 0-0 at Southend confirmed every belief I had always held about his anti-football ... was a game we could, and should, have won but the players rarely ventured over the half-way line ... we went for 0-0 and got it ... great ... entertainment value zilch ... asking people to pay over £20 to watch Megson's idea of footie ia actually close to a mugging
It was more because we'd actually found a way to not lose every week and, lets be fair, it's not like we played sparkling football under Kelly, Worthington or Allen Jesus, all that happened less than 10 years ago.

I remember the same - we had 2 failures in Sousa + Allen and he steadied the ship for something like 20 days before he went to a club wiling to give him a long term contract
