I don't get why we want to see any domination by one team. Surely we want to see a number of teams in with a chance at any given GP?
I agree Redbull will be at the sharp end in Australia, but we are all here to see more than two drivers compete for a win. It's weird how we look back now and observe that years like 2010 and 2012 were one of the best ever.
My view is that its not that two guys are fighting. it is that both are in same car. All the best seasons have had two guys fighting imo.. not 3/4. But anyway. this year has been fairly good thanks to red bull compared to last two processions. Hamilton paid for being off the boil but hes proved hes still got fight in him and has put a big marker down. After 3 years of this though... god... we need one manufacturer to match the engine.
What's in store for today then? Will there be drama and upset or will the Mercs drive off into the distance and relief that the season's over. I fear the latter but I guess Rosberg has done enough to earn a championship albeit with luck on his side in a sport where the best man doesn't always win.
So apparently Merc have said if Lewis backs Nico up they will just pit Nico first. Way to tie Lewis' hands. Just let them race for crying out loud, one way or another a Merc driver will be WDC and Merc are already WCC so why interfere at all?
Best case scenario, Rosberg ends up at the back, a fight for the championship. a fight he can realistically win as well.
After all that playing it safe for the last four races I'd love to see it all go wrong for Nico. Not happening at the moment though.
