Brilliant job! Thanks, Taeleon! Is there a moderator lurking around somewhere, so that this thread rises to the top and the Austrian Grand Prix sinks into history, please?
For me Lewis will walk this, unless he has a failure. I think Nico will be timid again until they've let Lewis win another title again.
Well… The on-track fallout in Austria has had me anticipating this, our home Grand Prix, pretty much like no other in recent memory. With subsequent revelations having very much fanned the flames in the World Championship-leading Mercedes camp, the tension is palpable. End of season title deciders don't happen here; but pivotal, big gun, mid-season battles very much do. The stakes are high. Unlike the volatile situation at Mercedes, the weather looks like being 'Silverstone standard'; bright and stable for the whole event under a warm, dry cloud blanket. Such predictable stability bodes well for getting the maximum performance from tyres, engines and drivers alike; and all those who managed to get tickets for ultra-high-speed cornering – places like Becketts – will be in for a real treat. For any F1 fan, this is surely an event not to be missed. And whilst the lower-priced tickets are sold out in the most popular grandstands, there are still plenty for the likes of Stowe, Copse, Luffield, National, Woodcote, etc. Premium tickets are still available for the best seats. General admission is still available from as little as 40 quid. For anyone with a free weekend, there is still time to make this a highlight of your year. http://www.bookf1.com/f1-britain/tickets.htm?gclid=CKDqxYiq380CFfMW0wodkb0KjQ
I'll be there, just the Sunday for me this time. Still, more expensive than three days camping at Hungary was. Maybe not now the pounds crashed?
So far as I know, BLS, currency has had no bearing on prices. That said, visitors from outside the UK now find themselves with a substantial windfall! Glad you're able to make it.
I plan to go one day when money isn't so tight. To this day though the only grand prix I've been to was Melbourne 2013. The only reason I was able to go to that is as I was visiting a friend out in Australia and my friends parents took us all over to Melbourne.
I think when I went to the Hungarian grand prix I payed for it in Euros. It was 90 euros to camp Thurs to Sunday and 80 Euros for a 3 day circuit pass. That was £140ish at the time, actually isn't much different now really, the pound was pretty weak back then too. 2013, Hamiltons first win for Mercedes, was a bit of a cracker if I remember correctly. Been lucky with my last few races really, they've all had something happening. Last Silverstone was ages ago though. 2010? I know Vettel got a puncture at the first corner after a forceful move left him exposed. Webber won on the day, but I'm sure Hamilton was only 2-3 seconds behind. Rosberg 3rd in the new Merc?
That would have been the "not bad for a number two driver" race then, I think. Btw I'm not sure what happened in the predictions league, but I'm certain I was on two after Baku, I assume with the deleted posts, we've lost the status from before Austria and those votes (I know I Was wrong there (by 1 lap and a whole chunk of crazy!)).
Yeah unfortunatly I can't see the results for the poll (as in which users voted what, I can only see the number of votes) for Baku and Austria. Plus the original Austria post was deleted so I can't see what the score was pre-race. I have the above from the Baku thread pre-race. Are mods able to see who voted what for Baku/Austria and update the table in the first post of this thread? I'm not sure what you guys can and can't see.

Thanks, updated to this if you can let me know the poll results for Austria when possible and i'll update again. Cheers!
Hamilton to control this race, he's quite good round this track plus he is full of confidence. Nico to do something stupid.
From my point of view, he seems to participate in something stupid when under pressure. I think LH will be on pole, and NR will be chasing and I have a feeling he will do something stupid. Either crashing off the circuit or into someone else. I'm probably totally off the mark.
I think it all depends on whether Merc have aportioned blame behind the scenes for Austria. If so then he will likely feel under pressure but if they have just swept it under the rug and smacked both drivers wrists he'll feel like he got away with it I think.
