I don't care what the result is as long as we play 4-4-2 or a false 4-3-2-1 (with one of the 2 joining the 1), just so we don't get another thread from Tash saying how much he admires Rafa but wishes he would put another man up front.
As someone who works in Ipswich, their fans in my office are still reeling from seeing not one but two goals go in last night. It's completely destabilised them. Incidentally my brother and family are up in Newcastle to see this game, and also the Cup match against Preston. My 6 year old nephew is going to be one of the mascots at that game what an experience for him
Hopefully something he'll always have great memories of. Then he'll be hooked and have to suffer like the rest of us for the rest of his life... Seriously I do hope he has a great time.
Thank you . I don't think he has much choice but to support the Toon to be honest, I think his Dad would disown him if he supported any other team
Anyone meeting up for a pre-match drink? Just postponed my flight back till Sunday morning so coming up for the game.
Ipswich don't score a lot but these conceded the joint fewest in the league. They will be tough to be and I fear a 1-0 smash and grab. I really hope Rafa at least goes attacking minded in this game but Ipswich are better at defensive football than we are. We must keep the ball on the ground and play to our strengths definitely, so I understand not playing Mitro in this game. We need to score an early goal to bring them out of their shell. This wont go well if they get the first. I'd play - ------------Gayle------------- -Gouff----Perez-----Ritchie ------Colback-Shelvey----- Dummett-Hanley-Clark-Anita --------------Darlow-------------
