http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32469230 Should he get it protection it is? Or do paying customers have a right to vent anger, and he should just man up and deal with it ? He must know its part and parcel of the job, even the best of the best get stick
Seems like he had protection from the image that was taken by Reuters at the game: What does he expect; this?
Think he must want option 2 LOL Like you say what does he expect, people are angry and they will vent there anger
To be fair, I'd like the woman in option 2, plus some dragons. No-one would hurl abuse at you, without getting eaten or stabbed by a tonne of unsullied.
Newcastle fans are embarrassing themselves with this protest though. I heard one on a phone in say he'd love for the club to go the way of Leeds so that they could start fresh. So deluded.
The bloke's only trying to do his job. He should walk out like Jackie Charlton did as soon as the 'Boro fans started to abuse him. Carver may not be a great manager but he only stepped in when pardue walked out, and he's Newcastle through and through. Ashley is the real problem.
Uncles Les has had the last laugh: On 16 April 2010 Reed was appointed Head of Football Development and Support at Southampton, overseeing four main areas: the Youth Academy, Scouting and Recruitment, Sports medicine and Science, and Kit and Equipment Management. He is now Executive Director of the Club and one of four members of the Board. He is doing a fantastic job in a club that is basically no bigger than Charlton. Seventh in the Premiership and producing a stream of youngsters worth many ten of millions He had a few laughs even before that. Coached Northern Ireland to a rare win over England, and helped Fulham survive in the top tier at our expense, besides talent-spotting Smalling on our doorstep and selling him to Man Utd. Five bad weeks with us are the only blemish in one of the most successful, and still ongoing, backstage careers by an English coach. I don't think either Carver or Reed would assess their positions as being equivalent.
