Can't we use this now so the incoming manager isn't contaminated with Koeman in anyway? Hopefully this can be a positive thread unsullied by Evertonians who 'come in peace' but actually are really gloating but can't admit it.
There you go SaintDon13. Now how long did that take [to start a new manager thread].? Tbf, It took all of half an hour, which slightly surprises me. We must be a calmer bunch these days. HEADLINES - WORLD ENDS: Meltdown everywhere except, peculiarly amongst supporters of a football club called Southampton, where they have had a lot of practice.
Heard of a new manager coming in........his name is Ronald Koeman.........oops thought this was an Everton Forum.......sorry........no I'm not..........
I must be thicker than I thought. I'm not having a meltdown or anything. Clearly Koeman is going unless I've missed something entirely. A thread for postulating or any ITK information on the new manager - err that's okay isn't it? I'm really confused. Anyway I'm off to Lockerley tomorrow to visit my ancient parents and there is no signal or Internet there so can someone phone up their house every five minutes to let me know what's going on - otherwise I don't think I'll be able to cope.
Nothing expected imminently in terms of a new manager. Les has a shortlist and will speak to the candidates. Transfer business put on hold. Had agreed on the five-year plan and were already in talks over some players but now that's on hold. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...-for-5m-in-compensation-for-ronald-koeman-ag/
Cheers DTLW. Personally I'm not expecting it to be cleared up tomorrow with a new manager in the seat but my concern was all the planning and targets would be out the window and now it seems to be the case which of course will mess up everything for next season. This means a new manager needs to be installed asap. I thought AVB had made it clear he had no intention of managing in England again because of the way he got treated by the clubs and the press, I can sort of see his point of view.
Bit soon for QSF, but he's someone we should be keeping an eye on for the future. But between AVB & De Boer, well we're in the right sort of territory. In reality it will be a little known bloke coming from the left flank then!
Part of me would like Eddie Howe,, a bright intelligent successful manager who comes across really well at press conferences. The other part of me says that 8 months ago he signed an extension to his contract at Bournemouth, pledging his immediate future with them making him no better than koeman if he now comes to us.
Plus he wasnt very good when he was at Burnley. Although it would be funny to upset our friends to the West, i really think we should be aiming higher than Howe.
I've kinda got my heart set on FDB but I have no idea why. I do hope we get someone in soon though. This is a massive season and I'd like us to prepare as well as we can.
