There's a few on here which said they wanted rid as well - I've always thought he made a difference - him and Papy were looking much more solid together than Papy does with anyone else - not sure why as O'Shea is normally a calming influence. Glad he's stayed - he will be pivotal if we can stay up. I've gone for Oviedo simply on the "debut" factor - first game and fitted straight in and looks very capable - as I said earlier, "one swallow does not a summer make" but I'm hoping the flowers are blooming!!
When Kirchhoff and/or Catts are back it might be worth trying Denayer at CB with Kone, unless Bod is playing really well there and consistently too. Those two together strike me as a better pairing than Bod and Kone.
From watching the game it looks more like 3 at the back with O'Shea, Denayer and Kone then we get the ball and Denayer moves further forward to allow Rodwell to move up the field - that said, I have only seen highlights of Saturday's game
You're right thinking about it, I've only seen highlights myself. I wouldn't drop him if he's on form, I'm just suggesting that if it's a choice of Bod or Denayer to play alongside Kone I think I'd prefer Denayer.
