I chose Mitro but I'd have both in the squad along with Gayle and Perez. I'd sell Murphy and sign an absolute worldie of a striker...
Had to vote Arma because...this. Looks like Rafa's given up anyway. Hope the lad goes on to good things, but I'd sell Murph back to the Championship, Mitro to someone with more money than sense and buy, as Hank says, an absolute worldie. Don't know who we could get, it'd take a real deal to sort it - I'd wonder if we'd have any hope of taking someone of Anthony Martial's qualty, if we coughed up £30m?
Of the two - Arma; but still think he'll be nothing more than a squad player next year. Reckon Benitez has pretty much given up on Mitro (just don't think he works in our "system") so sell him in the summer and use the funds to bring in a player better suited to the way Benitez wants to set us up
ummmm, neither - chuck Arma out on loan for another year (with a better Championship club), and see if he can keep impoving enough to make the grade with us. Sell Mitro.
You have to reach a point with young players where you say he has got his real life experience at lower clubs and he will develop better within the squad. Think he should be brought back at end of season so that he can be properly assessed within the first team environment. If he turns out not good enough then fair enough.
I'd be happy to keep Mitrovic but I think since he's not going to be a first choice player under Rafa and he doesn't fit into Rafa's system particularly well we might be better off selling him assuming we can get somewhere near our money back on him as we might need it for strengthening in other areas. £14m is a lot of money to have warming the bench. I'm a firm believer in having a big, direct striker in the squad for when you need to change things up and it could be that Murphy could do that job for a season. Striking options for next season in the Premier League would need to be: Worldie, Gayle, Murphy/Replacement, and probably Perez. We will also need a 'number 10' in my opinion, then there's all the other positions we need to strengthen. We'll have to raise a fair bit of cash from player sales to fund that lot and Mitro is probably a fairly saleable asset.
Scored 1 in 2 for Coventry in League 1, only managing 1 in 5 in the championship so far - i.e. not up to our standard yet. I'd rather he was given another season on loan to improve and see if he can take it up a level, rather than being recalled by us, deemed not good enough and given the boot.
Yes, I'd keep him in the Championship but at a better club if possible. Not saying he'd get in the team, but somewhere like Leeds if they don't come up. The shout for Sturridge is an excellent one. He's clearly done at Liverpool; where next? Where better than under Rafa.
That's fine and we will no doubt do this in the pre-season regardless of the division we are in but I can't see him getting much game time if any any if we are in the premier league. I can't see anything other than the lad being on loan for the rest of his Newcastle career and then joining a championship club where he will play out the remainder of his career.
