Only surprises I want to see are players capable of walking straight into the 1st X1, not squad players. This guys hardly played for them and has 4 years on his contract left. Hardly awe inspiring.
This, I'll take me chances, better someone than no-one. I've just read its an opportunity to defer payment, apparently we've loaned even though we're deffo buying? Unless we shift the **** I've mentioned many a time, we're stuck with these types of agreements for now
Now I've read we're meeting his release clause so **** knows Everyone seems to say its Benitez's personal.recommendation so that'll do for me
He's ****. Couldn't get a game. I watched him twice and he was absolute **** both times. Like the Spanish Jack. Actually have no clue having never seen him before
http://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2017/07/2...ng-mikel-merino-in-action-for-dortmund-spain/ Only a Youtube video but looks like he has energy to burn and happy to get stuck in. Will be interesting to see how he fairs in the EPL. Understand people citing he hasn't played much last year but Dortmund are a good team with lots of competition for places and as a young lad first time outside of Spain he'll have needed time to settle.
No, not like Colback, haven't seen him either but on GTA's video link I did notice that he passed the ball...forward.
Not overly concerned about lack of games in Germany. He is young and still developing. Confident Rafa will have a good feel for his abilities through his extensive knowledge of the Spanish Soccer scene. Looking forward to watching him play thos season.
Nothing on website yet. Latest was 14hrs ago that he was undergoing a medical so either they are still sorting out personal terms or he is doing the full spec medical or the "Siem de Jong Package" as the clinic now call it.
It does whiff a bit of a bargain basement signing though (although I have no idea at all of the fee, which we are supposedly committed to paying in 12 months). Hopefully the kid is actually good and can play in the league straight away. Too many get brought in 'for the future', or 'need development', or need a year to 'get used to the league'. We really don't have time to wait for any signings to get up to speed.
Supposed to be a loan with an option to buy at around £6M but with escape clauses to get out of it too. He apparently is being seen as good enough to start games.
Its no disservice when players like Kagawa are on the bench, people need to take another look at Dortmund's team before bemoaning: Sahin, Rode, Castro, Kagawa, Gotze, Weigl Surprised he even got on the pitch if I'm honest By extension we have Shelves, Hayden, Colback, Diame. Not one of them would have played a minute for BVB last season
