I found myself agreeing with a fist-pumping passion... http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/formula1/34456225 A risk that he didn't mention - once a circuit loses its F1 contract, how does it keep generating enough revenue to maintain its facilities? If (when) the nouveau riche circuits pull out, the historic circuits might not be fit to host F1 any more. They might be lost forever, even if F1 wants them back.
Agree with a lot of what he says, but the FIA sold it's soul to Bernie a long time ago so he makes the decisions on the circuits based on commercial reasons. The FIA would effectively have to buy back the commercial rights off Bernie if they want to regain full control of the calendar. Don't think McNish has that many pennies in his sporran to do that if he were President of the FIA. Am sure the FIA never expected Bernie to turn into the money monster he is today, maybe they thought he had the sport's interest at heart when they first agreed the deal with him? Bet they're regretting it now as F1 moves further and further away from their control.
