That's not a bad shout at all. I think Hamer deserves a chance too.

... pretty abject display ... only poistive is that the fight and spirit are still there ... epitomised by Wes winning that pen in the 4th minute of injury time ...

Claudio needs to sort out the defensive frailty and that may need a change of formation ...

Also woould n't mind seeing Leo given a run out up top with wing-backs looking to get to the by-line and put crosses in ... even pairing Leo with Slimani perhaps?

Mahrez has to play aas a 10 now ... he needs to be on the ball a lot more and get his confidence back - one piece of mesmerising skill in the first half leading to Okazki hitting the bar but he is all too often faced with 2 or 3 defenders when receiving it wide ...we move on ... in the end a great salvage act.

Not quite sure how he's going to do that with the current squad. Hernandez hasn't had any game time at CB and Was is to much of a liability now. If Chilwell is fit soon would probably give him a go and move Fuchs inside or push him into midfield. Can't quite believe how much we seem to have gone backwards this season. All parts of the team, Def, Midfield and Attack are struggling and my big hope is that when Mendy is fit maybe we can get the right balance back in the team.
Winning the league last season earned us the right to an easy CL group but Bruges and Copenhagen are not much more than Championship level and Porto lower PL. The atmosphere at the home CL games has been something else and the team responded with 3 good results but in reality we didn't play any of the teams off the park and could easily have ended up with draws and not wins. I fear we will be woefully short when we come up against the top teams. Hate it but January transfer window could be crucial - ins and outs!!
