Did anybody else see something about Mazzarri holding a press conference at 2 this afternoon? It was on Sky Sports News this morning
Maybe then it is nothing but they specifically said one had been called by Mazzarri and that no explanation given. Strange if it is routine. Perhaps to do with the game tomorrow
I presume he means its not such a surprise to lose some of the games we have or might lose but this is the first time we've gone scoreless in 5 consecutive away games since 1979 so not that normal. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...ful_but_prepared_for__normal__run_of_defeats/ And even with the injuries we've had this must be one of our best ever squads (or most certainly most expensive!) Quite a few teams could look for excuses like bad managers/unrest in the squad etc.
So Mazzari doesn't expect us to get any more points this season and is saying that its normal to lose 6 games on the trot. Not the last six games it isn't when we are still flirting with relegation ! Great incentive to the players that their manager doesn't expect them to get any more points this season. Did anyone recall the end of the game when we reached 40 points? I can't remember which game it was, but the camera turned to Mazzari and showed him elated and jumping up and down and hugging one of his coaching staff. Surely a clear signal that the objective for the season had been reached, his bonus had been triggered, and we were totally safe from relegation. Well somebody here worked out the odds of the results going against us and thereby going down to be about 369:1 I think. I think that is a good bet for £20.
