'We had a lot of problems getting a first eleven for this game and we finished this game with one midfielder at right back and two at centre back which is not normal" "I hope to bring players in this week, we will see but I hope," said Silva. "I work two training sessions with 15 players and it's 15 again today so it shows we need to do something fast to be more competitive against the other teams. "If you want to improve our team, we need to do it fast." Doesn't he know that nobody tells the Allams how to run their business. Nobody. If signings don't appear quickly they'll be frustration and a rift quickly appearing between Silva and Enob. Others have been sacked for saying less. Enob had Silva lined up before his appointment, and they would have been talking way before then. It was effectively done last Wednesday (if not actually a bit earlier) and unveiled last Thursday. So already near enough a week has past (that's ignoring the period where they would have been discussing before the official appointment / unveiling). Since then the squad situation has got even worse. Yet, no arrivals. I read more into Silva's comments above than have been picked up on, like clear messages to Enob. Watch this space. I fear he is now starting to realise what it's like to work under Enob.
I can't see any middle ground with Silva's appointment. He'll either keep us up or he'll be gone inside a month.
I went to a game at BP on a Saturday afternoon having had a vasectomy in the morning. The anaesthetic didn't wear off until after the game but I had shocking ball ache that night!
Reminds me when I had mine, I went there and back on my moped. It was OK going home on the day, but I certainly didn't ride it for the next few days.
If he's still a bit groggy or numb get a sly dig in while you can. That'll teach him to **** you about. Glad he's ok though
During mine I asked the surgeon 'what stage have you reached now?', ie have you nearly finished. He replied, 'well, I'm a fellow of the royal college of surgeons'.
Do you think Marco might have a chat with his old mate José and get some Man Utd players on loan? Hope they have a few glasses of Port in the board room after the match and discuss how loaning us some decent players might help us derail some of Man Utds top 4 rivals.
Add to the above ".... we need players in and I don't mean just 2 or 3". Hmmm. It's building. I think you may well be right with your prediction Chilton's Hundreds.
The machine only sells tickets for home games, you buy away tickets at the counter, just as you would in a ticket office.
That's a bit unfair Driff. How do you know how much work is going on behind the scenes to get players to come here ? It's not like shopping in the supermarket you know. The management team have just arrived from Portugal, I bet they don't know what time they serve breakfast in the hotel yet. FFS, we already have one very expensive player almost through the door, which isn't easy, and I'm sure others will follow. Glass half full mate.
