Somewhat symbolic that Andrew Crofts was Charlton captain yesterday.

A very strong contender for "worst Slade signing"

He can't even pass the ball accurately for 5 yards.

To be fair to Texeira he is a centre half and he played at right back. The defence are not the problem. The problem lies with the midfield and someone to play off Magennis. We need another wide player, two central midfielders and a striker. We also need cover at right back.

    I agree.

The alarm bells comment was aimed at the general performance, not tex.

Are you suggesting you are indeed disabled? if so, you should understand the 'mentality' of such much better than appears to be the case here, or were you simply born stupid? Yes, l am disabled, and have to put up with people like you every day of my life!

Having listened to the post match interview with KR, am more positive than under Slade (not difficult) but KR will come to the same blocking point in January when Meire will fail to support him with realistically decent signings to boost the weak squad (we can only play 11 players, why pay for more) & she will no doubt be looking to sell anyone with a half decent price tag. KR MAY be a good manager, but he's no miracle worker

The entire squad /team is not fit for purpose.

If you started again from scratch in January, who of the current squad this season is really worth keeping? I reckon I have seen over 90% of our games so far, I would say:

    Rudd [loan anyway..]
    Solly
    Bauer
    Konsa
    Texeira
    Holmes
    Magennis
Lookman [who will be sold anyway]

That is 8 players out of a squad of around 20, and one of those belongs to Norwich ...

    Not good enough:

    Fox
    Johnson
    Lennon
    Ulvestad
    Crofts
    Foley
    Jackson
    Botaka
    Pearce
    Novak
    Hanlon
    Ajose

I have only seen two games this season and so am not the best person to judge. I would agree with your list but would add Phillips, Ulvestad, Crofts Pearce and Ajose to it. You have got to play to Ajose's strengths and whacking the ball up to him from the back is not the way to go. We need better midfield players who are able to thread a pass into Ajose. The quality isn't there from central midfield, that is where the problems lies.

That is very harsh on Pearce. When I have seen him he and Baeur have looked excellent.

Sort of agree about Dillon Phillips, left him out as too early to judge. I suspect he will end up being this season's Nick Pope in more ways that one.

Pearce is a bit of a donkey, Dick. He lacks a yard of pace and is prone to errors. He is better than Lennon & Johnson IMO, but not as good as Tex and Bauer in the centre.

Ajose has got an attitude problem, he needs to start rolling his sleeves up, stop blaming his team mates, and grafting for the side. Two ricochets at Walsall and 2 penalties and not much else in nearly half a season.

Novak is putting up more lbs overweight than Reams.

Pearce is average tries hard but wasn't needed God knows why Slade spent money on another centre half when we already had a team of them.
He is behind Bauer Tex and Konsa in my opinion but is the only one of the 4 to be with us long term I suspect .
Have a lot of time for Philips hope he is our number 1 goin forward .

I imagine Pearce was a situation where his agent contacted the club, rather us checking his availability.

The club, in a bid to prove they had changed, saw the opportunity to sign the league 1 winning captain (for a seemingly good price) too good to turn down. Even if he wasn't really needed.
