Looks like we'll see no more of Markovic...

What's wrong with the line up we had prior to the Sunderland game?

I think you're right on both counts. I think Maloney wise, I would start him only because we need a result and the quicker we score, the better.

In his defence I don't think Elmo is lazy. Against Watford he got in my top 3 for MOTD, against Sunderland he had one of those days when nothing goes right. We've all had'em.

It's the way he gives up the cause (even if only for a second or so) during a game when either he or a team mate makes a mistake.

Fair comment, though if he's told to concentrate on defence and not chase a lost cause, this would account for it...

PS...Lyon vs Ajax on channel 59 tonight....free to view..

Elmo's problem is he gives up the cause far too readily as opposed to chasing a lost cause

If you see what I mean

    Jakupovic
    Elabdellaoui Ranocchia Maguire Robertson
    Henriksen Huddlestone Clucas
    Maloney Hernandez Grosicki

With Markovic' injury I think I'd go with either that, or something more radical like below:

    Jakupovic
    Elabdellaoui Ranocchia Maguire Robertson
    N'Diaye
    Grosicki Maloney
    Huddlestone
    Hernandez Niasse

I've been wanting to see Huddlestone in a more advanced role for years. We're in absolutely must win territory now so **** it I say, let's try it!

And that second formation is supposed to look like a diamond, but it looked less like one when I posted it.

Some very odd team selections on here, we've got two games we need to win, he's not going to mess about with players out of position.

Harry won't be in midfield, there's almost no chance he'll start with two up top and Huddlestone has to start.

Oops he completely escaped my mind, definitely him instead of N'Diaye in that selection.

Think we need hard working width against CP....Townsend, Zaha & Puncheon will provide ammunition for Benteke, will need wide people capable of getting back and doubling up whilst still get forward. Definitely not a diamond as that will give us no width...poss 5-3 2 but think 442 is best but its difficult to include NDiaye, Huddz and Clucas.
Still like idea of Grosiki on right wing with Tymon and Robbo on lift, RB either Elmo or Elabdellaoui.

Growshitski was basically a passenger wen he went to rm last Saturday.
It was probably the worst decision Marco has made since he's been here not rectifying it.

Agree totally, you do whatever you need to do, but Groswicki has to play left, he and Robbo were our only source of attack on Saturday down that side.

Everyone's team will change if the swans lose! I don't think we'll play 2 up top if a point takes us level?
