Just saw this on OTIB https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...SunFootball-_-20161002-_-Football-_-605513428
Within a relatively short space of time he's been PART of a process that has seen the club progress to where its at now. I cannot see any reason why - money included - he would want to go anywhere else at this stage in his managerial career. I was one of those who was not happy about him coming to the club with his level of (in)experience at the time he did, but already he has won me over. I'm sure it's the same with many other City supporters. There is a possibility of him achieving tremendous things with BCFC, so why go off and jeopardise what is there for the taking!
Villa are an accident waiting to happen. It wouldn't surprise me if they went down again this season.
Bound to attract attention and that is quite flattering. Cant see him going yet myself and hope he wouldn't.- Carries on being as successful as he has been, then a Prem club might come calling and the temptation might be too much- Same can be said for Tammy Abraham. He is already getting man marked a lot tighter and his value is only going to increase
No way would LJ go there right now. It would suit someone like Steve Bruce, unless of course he is holding out for the 'Big Job'? Heaven forbid....
i guess the speculation comes hand in hand with a decent run of results.but thats all it is - speculation and lounge bar journalism.
"ITS ALL PART OF THE UNSETTLING OF OTHER TEAMS" .. ..Villa had a obscene parachute payment and realised we would be a danger in the league this year, so Kodija was unsettled and they bought him ..whats £15m potentially out of £200m! the Sun is not selling many copies in this area anyway . so will pump up rumours to get sales!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37534496 bbc reporting it as well but just put this down as his progress purely attracting attention
'And your replacement would be?' Hmm, let me think. I do remember a very wise sage on here in the recent past crying out for Roberto Di Matteo. Anyway, I don't think Villa will approach City for Junior. Seems like a 'Steve Bruce' will get the job. However, should they want Junior, I'd be happy to see him leave. £Millions in compensation as well. Tbh I'd be more concerned if Ashton went. Not going to happen at all, unfortunately, but if Junior jumped another ship I'd give Pembo the job.
What happened today doesn't make Roberto Di Matteo a bad manager, just one of those things (Villa a poison sword at the moment) as like most managers, can do well for one club and disastrous for another. Why would you be happy to see LJ leave? I don't get it....You really don't like the guy do you? Very strange, being he's doing a very good job for us.. I think he's a bit more intelligent than you would like to believe!!
'he's a bit more intelligent' He's as bright as a button. If he gets the nod from Villa you won't see his ass for dust, and you can't blame him. 'he's doing a very good job for us'. I happen to think Pemberton would do an equally good job with the players Ashton has brought in. Remember who stopped the rot. But sleep easy 1For,Villa won't come calling.
