Not a single thread. No idea who is fit, who is not. No idea what team Moyes will pick. Expected to lose, so get at em, give em a game at least. Its not an impossibility to get something, just highly unlikely. Ha'way.
fingers crossed we get something from the game, liverpool will probably be expecting a walk in the park today, sincerely hope not.
I'm not expecting anything from today, i just hope we don't implode and take a right battering. That said we are just as likely to cause an upset.
Liverpool still look vulnerable when playing away and if it wasn't for our ridiculous injury list, I'd be inclined to hold some hope for today. I think we'll get put to the sword, maybe another 4-1. ----------------- Mannone ---------------- Jones -- O'Shea -- Djilobodji -- Van Aanholt ------------- N'Dong -- Denayer ---------- -- Januzaj ----- Borini ------ Khazri ---- -------------------- Defoe --------------------- Subs Mika Love Larsson Rodwell Youth Youth Youth
From SAFC.com " Sunderland could be without Lamine Kone and Victor Anichebe for Monday’s game against Liverpool, David Moyes has revealed. Both players were forced off during the opening 45 minutes at Turf Moor, with Kone colliding with the advertising hoardings before Victor Anichebe suffered a hamstring injury in added time. Jason Denayer also missed the defeat against Burnley due to a hamstring injury, although Moyes revealed a scan revealed no damage. However, it remains unclear if he will return to face the Reds. “I don’t know exactly what the injuries to Lamine and Victor are,” mused Moyes. “Lamine got a blow and Victor’s looked like a hamstring so that would rule him out if that’s the case.” He continued: “Jason felt his hamstring in training on Friday and we had it scanned but there was nothing on it, so we have to hope it’s not long term. “There was nothing on the scan but he felt he wasn’t able to play. “We had a couple of players who weren’t ready to play against Burnley –Steven Pienaar and Jack Rodwell – but we wanted to include them and get them ready for some of the games coming up. “Let’s hope they can get themselves in a good condition and get ready to play some minutes.”
Are they starting to get psychosomatic injuries now, "I don't know boss, everyone else is injured so I just kind of feel injured myself you know?" Is there an element of them not being arsed enough about being on the pitch for us whereas if they were in the Chelsea first team they'd be busting a gut to be playing, niggling pain be damned? I dunno, I'm still going in circles trying to work out why we're picking up a farcical amount of injuries.
A combination of being gutless and crap imo. Not everyone's favourite. But we could do with some Cattermole types at the moment.
Rodwell especially? Never even heard what his injury is this time but he's just been 'injured'. Kone? Thinking "I could be out of the ACON and out of a transfer if I nack myself over next couple of games". Maybe you're just cynical mate!!
Agree. I've said this before, I think he's awful as a footballer but he makes up for it with effort and commitment.
Get to-days game over with, put out the young guns for the cup and hope that Moyes can somehow assemble a squad that will give us some belief for the rest of the season.
He's fairly average and limited but he's far from being an awful footballer IMO, think that's a bit harsh.
