Time is subjective. What's just to me may seem a life time for a dragonfly.

Lacking squad depth which is alarming with the increase in games potentially next year.

 

Yes but thats going to come down to what competition we are in next year. I think the squad size will be driven by success and development.

for example: once the dregs are again shifted (the markovoic's etc etc) there is scope fr a fuller first team but if we are i nthe europa then kids will come more to the fore and that will be mildly interesting. If we are in CL we will need to toss the league cup to the kids and get on with it.

I would in general agree that if we only replace LUCAS (CM) Sahko (CB), Markovic (RW) and maybe sturrdige (ST) then while the squad would be better if the buys are right but its still probably not enough

so yeah... ok some kids like ojo and woodbrn might continue to develop but... thats the reality of the project. IF we replaced the 4 players above with say pulisic, dahoud as rumours plus who knows who for CB and ST (if one) then we would be getting better.

At this stage in development we have a lot of young players who are nowhere near the prem level but we do have a clear first 11. its really how can klopp improve that 11 and move players to the bench. IMO klopp will want a younger player in the wider areas up front as the players he has are young enough.
