Any chance this could be `stickied` then we can keep all the transfer chit chat on the one thread. Stoke may sign Philipp Wollscheid (26) which could mean the end for Huth. May be a step nearer to joining us ?
He fully this will be a busy thread over the summer. Lots of rumours no doubt too. Fingers crossed big Huth signs up for us permanently. Will be a great signing.
... admittedly is not the long term option ... but he has been immense and at the heart of our revival ... he has earned a 2 year deal and no question ...
Signing Huth and getting Cambiasso to sign a new contract could be the best business we could do Both settled here and proven class
Tom Thorpe from Man United - looks like a Pearson type http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/579712/Leicester-Man-Utd-Tom-Thorpe-Transfer-News-Gossip
Maybe more of a Championship Pearson type, unfortunately. If he's not getting into Manchester United's squad, who, lest we forget, are in the same division as us, then maybe he's not right for us yet, even if we are looking to the future?
Seems like the next Liam Moore to me. Don't know how how good he is tbh, but to captain the reserves, he's gotta be worth a punt.
I wouldnt mind Trippier but not Robertson. He is a poor version of Jeff Schlupp. I would much prefer a natural left back to allow us to go to a 442 while keeping Jeff as a winger
? I don't think he's anything like Schlupp myself but we all see things differently. Just like the way Robertson plays and think like Schlupp he could become a very good player.
I think we will look for a new left back, but maybe one a little more defensive? Don't see the point in signing another marauding one as I think Schlupp should be staking a claim to that role. I'd rather sign an old-school left back, a sort of young Bruno Berner, to allow us to go comfortably back to a 4 at the back if necessary, although that sort of left back seems to be dying out now and I can't even think of a suitable example!
Well step one is secure Cambiasso and sign Hugh. GK we are in a good position currently and we have been scoring goals and with Krammy expected to hit the ground running we should be ok there We need another midfielder even with Cambisso (IMO). I saw somewhere Cleverley is leaving Man U. Based on his performances for Villa id like to see him but not sure whether he would have higher ambitions than us? We need a left back/left wing back to compete with Schlupp or play in a back four. I've seen good reviews of Mings at Ipswich. They seem to reel off good left backs (Cresswell for West Ham) so I'd prefer him over someone like Robertson Then another centre back but plenty of names that could be mentioned there
Mings is worse than Konch. Had a few decent games at start of season, and then looked pretty awful second half of the season (in the games I saw). Robertson looks good going forward but has similar strengths to Schlupp. It really is the most difficult position to recruit. Cresswell looks a real bargain for WHU. Good luck on this one Walshy.
