No... No... This isn't a real goodbye... This is more like Saint Klopp's weak goodbye thread early in the summer. I'm just going on holiday next week so won't be around much but felt it deserves a song and dance number. Au Revoir.
I'm more for the minimalist approach meself. Have a good one, Milk - you coming over to visit the Cheese?
Nah. Heading to the beach. Wrong time of year for the beach, there will be jellyfish in the water but couldn't get away earlier. I have some time off right after the beach trip that I'm sure I'll get to kayaking then. Might do some kayak camping Friday through the weekend. I have the Monday after next week off too for the eclipse. Cant take it on the main trip, my gear takes up room. It's either kayaking stuff or the kids. I'd rather take the kayaking gear but the Mrs will no doubt overrule me.
Chapel Hill is nice, one of the classier parts of the Carolinas (also one of the more expensive). It's part of the research triangle. Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill. Several good research universities there. Big in the medical sciences. My sister lived there for a long time. More built up than most parts of the state, but lots of trees. Very cosmopolitan, full of people from all over the world. Large Asian communities, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, etc. You thinking of going there? You can't rely on public transportation there. Would need to drive or have someone drive.
I'm leaving too - I'm off for a dump. I had sausage mash and beans @ 4pm, so it'll be a good one. I'll try and send some photos when I come back.
Is it right that they've banned the Confederate flag on public buildings there? has that just made more of them appear in people's yards? Would love to do a tour of the Civil War battlefields around there when I retire. Fascinating country. What were the indigenous tribes there?
I'm headhunting for a business development manager for one of my clients in the States. This guy's an Indian by birth, has a PhD and is on a basic of $140,000
That's average....no seriously it is very average. I will tell you a story one of these days about why...
