The largest charity fundraising event in the South West will take place on Sunday, March 12th, with runners enduring a two lap 13.1 mile course straddling both sides of the River Avon. All funds raised from the event will be donated to the Community Trust, assisting the club’s official charity in delivering its invaluable work throughout the community through its disability football provision and associated programmes. “It’s fantastic to have the continued support from the football club at the highest level,” said Bristol City Community Trust’s head of operations Dan White. “We have 25 of the club’s staff who have not only given up their time to train for and run the half marathon, but have also pledged to raise money for the Trust’s disability football provision. “Hopefully by doing this event we can raise awareness of the Trust, whilst safeguarding the future of existing programmes and developing new strands to our disability programme.” Fans can support this event by clicking here. All donations, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference to your community. Read more at http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/...munity-trust-3604505.aspx#SFbyjfcqP1bUxJ4O.99
