If we hold onto Clucas and Grosicki things certainly start to look better A few defenders wouldn't go amiss!!
He is officially already 'very good' Gets my full support, and he can hopefully only get better Seriously though he sounds exactly the type of player we need
I wonder how much we missed him in the first half, they seemed to push onto our defence very easily. We don't know how late his withdrawal from the squad was. But the flanks were a weakness that half too.
Suspect we might have gone 4231 if we had the option of sticking Stewart in midfield, but with him out (and Meyler only semi fit) we didn't really have the numbers.
No it's not. He's a double agent. He spends most the game giving away cheap free kicks and passing to the enemy, until they feel confident to give him the ball. Then he strikes.
That's a relief, I thought it was an add on that meant we had to pay £4 million if he played 1 game! No faith in Ehab's negotiations skill!
I just got a lift home from a taxi driving Liverpool fan. Said he watched Stewart in the ressies a lot, really rated him. That is all.
Villa wouldn't have got half the chances they got today if Stewart had played the role alongside Clucas. Stewart is excellent at disrupting opponents attacking play.
We really missed a bit of bite in the middle. I think if Meyler or Stewart are fit, Henricksen will be pushed forward.
I agree, I think I would have been tempted to push Hector into that defensive midfield role, which he has played before, and play Mazuch at centre back.
How far is Mason away? If he gets back and Slut gives him his head (NO pun intended) he'll do well in this league. Early days, but a few astute signings before the window closes and we'll do okay
