In my opinion he is probably the best analysist anywhere on the box. A real surprise considering what a bellend he was as a player.
I do like him as an analyst, but he's nowhere near as good as Gary Neville in my opinion. I also liked him as a player (Jenas that is, not Neville).
Totally agree, Gary Neville really surprised me how unbiased he is even when covering Utd. games. Shame his brother doesn't have a similar number of brain cells.
I thought he was absolute dross as a player and a bland pundit. Clearly had ability but had an unnerving skill to play central midfield for 90 minutes and seemingly never be anywhere near the ball. 21 England caps. Astonishing.
Yep. Ex-players who can give an insight into things are fascinating to listen to imo. Murphy and Jenus are both good in this regard, whilst I really rate Jamie Carrager and Gary Neville.
I'm with you chaps re Jonas. Neville is head and shoulders this best pundit out there at the moment and has the credentials to back it up too. Don't mind Alan Smith either but largely because he just comes across as a thoroughly decent chap.
Over on this side of the pond, Canadian goalkeeper Craig Forrest is an excellent analyst, Danny Dichio and Steven Caldwell also quite good and knowledgeable.
What about the women pundits? Concise, great readers of the game, excellent knowledge of all aspects of the game, balanced, and thoughtful insight. All terms that cannot be applied to them.
