    The football league division 1/ first division.

    English doesn't come into it and all the guff about premier shouldn't have either.

    Or, worse, they call the big June horse race, "The London Derby". And let's not even consider their dreadful mispronunciation of Derby.

    hate to agree with a c*rdiff fan but you can't really call it the english premier league when there is now a welsh team in it

    i thought it was called the EPL even by the Premier League in foreign markets so as to distinguish from any other leagues.

    Hey Lukey sweetheart, maybe the FAW can campaign for it to be called the GB league as it now contains teams from across Great Britain. They could tag it alongside the "We're Welsh, not British" campaign against a GB Team couldn't they?

    Nope, in fact they deliberately avoid using the term English at all because any percieved regionalism would actually hurt it's relevance to Taiwanese 6 year olds. They want it to be known as simply THE Premier League
