The performance of Saints de utant and new signing yesterday suggests that yeah, the transfer policy is still working. Though a poor defensive performance will be cited as evidence that it's not. Bit harsh scoring a worldie on your debut then getting booed off.
Something like acing the multiple choice section of your exam before being booted from the room for dousing the test paper in alcohol and setting it alight, though.
A bit extreme. I see it as more a case of hoping there wouldn't be any questions on the Schleswig-Holstein problem so not bothering to revise that bit, then getting caught out. There's still a good chance of bluffing through that bit and getting a pass overall.
As someone who mostly bluffed their way through college, and only occasionally set things on fire during exams, this does feel more like the latter. And man, do I miss unnecessary fires.
If they could send someone my way it'd be most appreciated. I currently have a homemade bandage on my wrist because I gave myself second degree burns while boiling rice. Somehow that is not a joke.
Sure you weren't trying to self-immolate as a protest against Trump? Sorry, wrong thread. A protest against Jose Fonte's departure then?
When I was doing my finals...I don't think I slept for a week..........On the day of the finals ......you've guessed it, I over bloody slept. I just got to the test room, no breakfast and no bloody seat it seemed. The tutor said " you may start" as he was pointing out a seat for me. He then took his time to bring me the test papers. all in all I probably lost about 10 minutes of test time. How I passed I will never know......but pass I did.....Then on to the next stage.......
More to the point.........we all know they somehow cocked up in this window........Or was it just an error of judgement, believing we had plenty of cover for CB knowing Gardos was in full training although not yet fully match fit? Did they believe they had at least the equal of the new guy they were attempting to bring in? Interesting thought.......
I think they tried and failed to get cover. But there was clearly no point in getting someone in who was markedly worse than the options currently available. I think we learned that much from Caulker.
The system has worked up until this season, so, although the situation should always be reassessed annually, I don't think it can be adjudged a failure based on one season.
Might have been posted elsewhere, but seeing as transfer window thread is closed http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/cace...ier-league-after-turning-down-milans-proposal
Is there any thread talking about the possibility of Martin Caceres? Apparently we looked at mexes but didn't want him and Caceres has turned down Milan and now flying to London to talk to prem clubs. If there's a thread (I can't see one) please direct me there.
