Staying up is the most important thing & the easiest answer. That's if the OP's question is a guarantee of staying up, which to me is how it comes across.
That answer only applies if you're saying Snodgrass' value to the team will be greater than (possibly) three decent players who come in via the cash his transfer makes available. So let's say we lose Snodgrass and we bring in a fast and effective right winger, a solid centre back and striker who knows where the net is. Would the team be stronger or weaker?
I hear what you're saying, but do you really think we're gonna be able to bring in three players for £10 million who will be good enough to make such a difference?
Permanent transfers aren't on the menu so transfer fees won't apply until possibly in the summer. By that time we'll know what division we're in. Silva's plan has to be to get decent players in the building quickly, even if it means paying extortionate loan fees for the privilege. There is only one priority and that's staying up, beyond that the whole scenario changes.
under SB and under MP, Snodders is our best player.... cos all other players were ****. now we have Silva, all of our players have raised their game.... so would we miss him? Im not so sure that we would to be honest. I reckon that Silva could take that £10m and buy the 2 wingers that we need.
1. Yes to Hull Tigers with the Allam family continuing to lead the club 2. No to Hull Tigers 3. I am not too concerned and will continue to support the club either way 4. If the choice was Snodgrass or staying up ....
This is the stupidest viewpoint I've ever read on this board. I know the whole premise of this thread is stupid (I came in just to say that until I saw you making it dumber), but "I'd rather get relegated than sell Snodgrass"? Don't get it.
But it's cool to prefer The Championship. Even if it negates the point of supporting a football team.
I'd rather stay up and pocket the cash (or what's left after Allam has pocketed his share) which is worth a lot more than one player. Snodgrass wouldn't be here if we went down, so it's academic really.
