Luiz doing Fabregas ping balls exceptionally. Good to see Eden trying to defend for a change. If only Willian has some quality in his final pass & finishing.
Alonso has been quite good so far imo.. Luiz is still a poor defender. Matic deep is probably the way to go. This formation is burning my head out.
But Luiz gives that Fabregas factor, he can run fast, positioning aside. he should grow in confidence. good time to try out 352. Moses looks lively.
Chalobah can be tried over Matic surely. Matic is shambles in that deeper role. thibo is lethargic, no wonder he is the worst keeper in the league rated this week.
Cahill continues to be clueless. He can rival and overtake Luiz easily. Atleast Luiz can go into DM for Matic once Terry / Zouma is back. Cahill should be nowhere near our 11.
what is CS? Got to say, im happy with that. defending was crap, but put jt in for luiz and zoma for cahill and it will be better. im still no happy with the way we move the ball. we just dont create enough, and in that front three we still arent getting enough movement up top. still, clean sheet, two good goals, and a rampant victor moses. very happy.
CS = Clean sheet this game helped to try out 2 key concepts. # 352 # Kante / Matic Swap. Both worked. Team can only get better with change in CB personnel.
ahh i see, yep the new formation looked ok, but we will see how it fares going forwards. also what did you think about alonso? I thought he did quite well, oppostion notwithstanding.
Agree, Alonso is lot better in Left wingback. Cahill was more like LB & Matic filling in the center. We need to test it against players better than Snodgrass ofcourse. I will take Baba over Azpil on the left. That is just my personal opinion. Guys are still learning 352 but looked they took it quite well in the first test.
Never.....not in a month of Sundays. I would take my lard arse over Baba at left back. He is dreadful and needs to leave this club
A much better performance although it looked in the first half that they were coming to terms with the formation. Apart from one decent effort from Snodgrass and a blinding save from cortouis we looked assured of a CS. Moses was my man of the match but individually we were better all over and more improvements are needed to return the confidence of the team. With Terry & Zouma to shortly return this is the probable outcome.
Was a better performance but still lots to work on. We're still SO slow. Kante is more suited to this system were basically he can just run around a lot and Alonso gives us some much needed balance on the left, needs to work on his end product though. Moses was good on the right but i thihk against the top 6 we'd be able to go with Azpi at Wing back and then three at Centre half. Not sure how comfortable i'd be with Luiz in the middle either, especially as when they split he was getting left one on one with Mbokani. That wouldn't work against many sides. 3 points and clean sheet is good for confidence though and hopefully we can get JT back for the Leicester game.
