I don't understand what Hull expect. Shambles, and they make us look like a squeaky clean well run affair.
Hull sack Mike Phelan in the same week they sack youth coach, Peter Ndlovu You've lost Ndlovu and Phelan, whooah Ndlovu and Phelan
Peter Ndlovu's surname was commonly mispronounced a "un-love", it's actually pronounced "un-slov-oo" True story. Thought Phelan had done a very good job considering all the **** that's going on, hard to think anyone could have done much better.
They should bring a new rule meaning no manager can ever be sacked during the season. You pays your money you makes your choice. As sure as eggs is eggs, three are going down; Hull must/should recognise the odds are against them regardless.
As someone at work said this morning - Even Arsene Wenger would struggle to keep Hull up. Shame for the fans that their owner is a complete cock. Typical modern owner that throws a fit when he doesn't get his own way.
I don't think the likes of Sunderland and Hull can go along with that. Sunderland's survival normally depends on it. They look like bucking the trend this time round despite his terrible results. At present it looks like Big Sam vs Sunderland which is mildly amusing. If he relegates them it will be hilarious. However I have placed a bet today on Watford going down. I do think Swansea will get out of it if they allow Clement to get some work done in the window. He did ok with Derby. They were 5th when they bombed him. That said they did spend a bit and it wasn't all well spent. I just think they have a bit about them like Palace and Sunderland to be fair. I think it will be one from those 3 with Hull and Watford going. Not bad odds for Sunderland really given their record of escaping. The fly in the ointment is Fat Sam knowing how to do it and like Swansea probably having more spending power than the mackems. Money is important as they found with the investment in Khazri, Kirchoff and Kone. Its not how much you spend as we are proof of that. The rumours of allowing loans only though will kill them unless they are gems. I don't really get Short he wants to sell. He needs to be in the PL to do so.
What was he supposed to do for them with the total lack of funding and support to build a Premiership squad? Didn't they only have something like 15 eligible/fit players going into the start of the season? They should build him a statue just for sticking with them when everyone was jumping ship. I'm not saying he's the best manager around, but he's been in the game a long time and worked with some of the best. With the resources he had, he's done all you could expect. Instead of paying him compensation and hiring someone new (presumably on higher wages), why not instead invest in the squad? These owners who see clubs as their plaything to change around every 5 minutes are ruining football. Ultimately it's the fans you have to have sympathy for, but it's also harsh on managers like Phelan.
And Hull expect who to take over the sinking ship ? The badly treated ex-Birmingham manager Gary-whatsits ?
Hull will no way get anyone in who can do a better job in their current situation. He has shown a lot of loyalty and I think done a good job considering.
I'd like Phelan here in some capacity. Good knowledge and seems a really genuine bloke. Is Rafa not one coach short after departure of Cathro? (Which has conincided with our bad trot)
