well pleased for fryatt today, his runs, movement and general play was excellent. would have been easy to go missing after fluffing a few chances, but kept going and came good..hope its the start of a run now.
Thought you Brizzle City fans would want to know that today was only the second time we've won a game by three or more goals in any competition since 25th October 2008 (the other being our 5-1 win at Scunthorpe last season).
Have to admit Fryatt got back to himself today, and i don't just mean the goal. For once we realised our team has tons of pace and put the ball behind their defence for us to run onto. I said this last week when Fryatt stops playing with his back to goal he will score, and he did. The key though is he keeps scoring as he can't just rest now he has one in two months as thats not enough.
We won't go down we won't go down we won't go down..........................................................................................................perhaps we might, come on you reds!
It wasn't a bad day for getting rid of unwanted runs was it: Only goal direct from a corner so far this season. - Is it the first from any setpiece delivery? Only goal from a defender so far this season. Koren scored a goal from inside the area. First goal from a striker for over 2 months. - Fryatt's first since December 3rd First win with that referee since August 2001.
I think Chester needs to move the goal-line magnet. The officials will uncover it sooner or later. Everything in the highlights looked very pedestrian.
First and second goals headed from crosses all season? Question for Bristol City fans; who were the defender(s) you were missing today? I always thought Fontaine and Nyatanga were pretty much first choice for you and I can't think of who else you have? They were very bad today though, the amount of times Fryatt outpaced and outmuscled them to get in one-on-one with James (trust us, he doesn't do that often) was ridiculous from a defensive point of view.
I love how he can stop everything without breaking a sweat. He's so casual in everything he does, and yet it's so easy to have faith in him because it never seems to go wrong. Also I heard on the highlights that BC have the worst shots-to-goal ratio in the NPC. That's incredible, I was certain it'd be us. How many chances must they miss?!
