We need an attitude change, we've had some of the same players for a while but we've seen the same crap at the end of the season. Some terrible performances at times last season too, it still seems remarkable to me that we got the promoted, the second tier must have been so bad that season. Younger players with the hungry attitude of Clucas is what we need, not mercenaries.
We'll see this week if the manager is a mercenary. No difference with him using us as a stepping stone to something better.
I remember after the relegation of 2010 thinking we were chopping and changing our squad almost every year, and what we needed was some consistency. But now we've had a core of players who have been here essentially five years and we're seemingly stagnating somewhat. It's a bit damning when I think back to the Spurs game and can't put my finger on any particular player having a stinker, but at the same time no one standing out. Even Clucas was off the boil to some extent. I think as long as things are approached the right way, a clean out over this summer may well do us some good.
Rumour has it Odubajo has done his knee again - sounds like it could be the end for him - another 6 months in rehab.
For once the HDM got a headline right... Hull City's big players hung Marco Silva out to dry when it mattered.. 'But when it came down to it, the big players deserted Silva and hung him out to dry. Silva can be proud of his efforts during his time at the KCOM, it was the players who let him down and the players who have ultimately decided the club's fate by not performing'. .. Dean Windass
If true isn't that the 3rd injury to the same knee? He's already had one setback. Again, if true, you have to worry about his career.
Despite the disappointment and embarrassment of yesterday I did enjoy watching Spurs. Wonderful skill and movement and fluidity. I'd rather they'd won the PL than Chelsea mainly because I don't like Costa and, now, John Terry.
Problem is we can't keep up with who is playing for us. When we have a settled team I am sure it will get better
You didn't dislike Terry before yesterday? I think Costa is brilliant. I'd ****ing love if we had a player with that kind of absolute will to win. People slated Jose for signing him, especially after the **** world cup he had, but he's been magnificent.
Life long spurs supporter who spent 90 mins gobbing off to Hull City fans and showing off his EAST HULL BORN AND PROUD Tattoo. While the Spurs fans sang Toms name loud and proud, and clapped CITYS support and never once sang about how **** we where or your going down etc Wonder if he is related to the Half n Half Liverpool / Hull City shirt wearing woman
It shows how bad a state we're in that I am struggling to think of any outfield players I'd want to keep after the main suspects have been sold. If we take out Harry and Clucas, who would you want to build you team around for next season? Kamil could be great in that division if nobody wants him, Tymon perhaps and Moses if he does recover, but that's about. I'd honestly actively flog the lot.
Jak if he stays Moses if fit Grosicki if he stays (which I don't think he will) ...and that's about it (I can't see Huddlestone being up for it for some reason)
Not sure I entirely agree with that. Those players that have carried us this season, I am talking about 'our' players (with the exception of Elmo) have done a tremendous job. The only person who has let everyone down is the owner and his son.
Maybe Hudds will not be up for it simply because like all of them they deserve better support from the owners. It must be very frustrating to be a player and watch what went on last summer.
