The time periods, clubs managed, managers mentioned etc are of fact. The rest of it was subjective and does not possess a correct or incorrect outcome. Pretty straight forward I thought. So, what exactly are you stating is incorrect?
Take what back; the words you put in his mouth? Oh, and yes, I'm sure Duffens words about Slutsky were tongue in cheek, but as a post, it was the core of it and you agreed - without the tongue in cheek touch.
Copied from Burton forum.... Slightly off topic but I heard the stewards telling alot of fans, who had obviously purchased the more expensive £24 ticket option, that that section was closed and just to sit anywhere! Hope they get refunded the £6 difference by the club. Read more: http://burtonbrewers.proboards.com/thread/3100/hull-away-thread?page=4#ixzz4pd02Bnp9
And here's me thinking I agreed about Conte being on borrowed time. Who knew that you knew what I meant more than I did? And congratulations by the way, you're now the first ever poster I've put on ignore. Quite the achievement.
I thought the second yellow was a bit harsh, and if it was a City player getting sent off there would be hundreds of posts about biased refs... However, I think we would still of won the game and we have started well in my eyes. We can only play the teams put in front of us and four points from two games when we still need to sign 3/4 players, that has to be a positive. If we keep Hernandez and Campbell fit I reckon we will be up there. Two players who know how to score goals at this level, thats something any club would want. For what has supposedly been a terrible summer, we aren't doing too badly at all! The stewards where told to expect a crowd of 12,000, which looked about right to me.
Oh the controversy. My post re: Conte on borrowed time was 75% not tongue in cheek . We all know that Roman tends to kick coaches/managers into touch when things go pear-shaped. I could easily see him turning to his mate ,Lenny, to take over the reins at SB when Chelski are struggling to string two wins together.
Promotion takes a full season. That season started in 2016. Clough left in 2015. Therefore, one season elapsed between him leaving and the promotion season starting. I suppose, it depends on how one would interpret my statement: “…as soon as he left, they pretty much went up.” In my mind of footballing time-spans and terms, one season would fit this definition. Feel free to disagree, but you can’t aptly define it as incorrect.
Really? Well I apologise for putting words in your mouth. I 100% agree it's likely Conte will leave - I had a bet before a ball was kicked that he'd be the next to go -,but I can't see any situation in which he'd turn to The Slut to replace him.
Yeah I agree, don't think it was a standalone yellow at all. I know it's a different game but don't think Cahill's was a red either. Refs have come out all guns blazing.
I believe that this season with us is just part of Leonids education into the English league, just like going to Winchester to study english was. Could he manage a club like Chelsea, I do not think he could walk in yet, but by the break, he will know all what he needs to know. I expect that he studies every one of the two highest level league games.
Cahill's was stupid and dangerous. These ones where a player loses control of the ball and goes in ridiculously high to try and win it back are really dangerous. They should just stop doing it since it's been a red card for about 10 years now.
I haven’t seen the red cards from yesterday, but whatever happened, I’m struggling to imagine a situation where Chelsea would have two men sent off at home against us. Not suggesting anything conspiratorial or anti-City as such in that thought, just can’t imagine us getting that sort of break.
