Alright fellas, im interested to know what you lot predict the top 6 will be? I'll go for Cardiff Hull Leicester (play-off winners) Watford Palace Blackburn
Cardiff Leicester Watford (play-off winners) Hull Palace Blackburn I'd probably say something different next week (depending on our next result)! I still feel Watford are our biggest thread to the autos. They've only lost two games since the beginning of November, that's promotion form. Blackburn are a danger to the play-offs too. What is it with teams that go on later runs? It would be gutting if Leicester AND Hull did miss out on promotion, since we've both been up there all season.
Honestly, I think this thread is only going to end up one way with every Hull fan that ends up here predicting us second and every Leicester fan predicting them second. The pessimist in me is saying we'll both miss out on second to Udinese B resulting in the lottery of the play offs for us both.
I like it when we get other clubs fans asking HONEST Q´s. My only problem is I´am **** at predictions & the A to your Q is, I hav´nt got a clue what the top 6 will be. Seriously who can predict it ? we are talking about the NPOWER CHAMPIONSHIP ffs. Cardiff - are STILL looking good Leicester - had better not nose dive Hull - don´t write them off Palace - looking strong Watford - as above Brighton- are dark horses Seriously I hav´nt got a clue but, please which ever teams finish betweem 3 & 6 just don´t ask who´ll win the PO´s.
I keep thinking that Cardiff are going to stop winning but they havent yet!! In all honesty i think we will finish second, Blackburn will win the play offs and Cardiff will win it.
If Np carries on starting with King/Vardy/Waghorn then we'll be lucky to stay in the play-offs but I agree with Moulton Fox's table.
Hmmm, I have an awful feeling that Leicester and Hull will meet in the PO Final with Prossie scoring the winner! Of cause I hope not and that I'm proved wrong. I'd like us both to go up so we can continue all this next season
Prossie will be doing cartwheels until he turns around and realises he just stuck the ball into his own net
I'd probably go with that at the moment, but injuries and additional signings could still change everything, looks like we've got Boyd joining us shortly and we're unlikely to be the only club making additions.
We (Watford) still have FA charges to get through yet so that could change absolutely everything. I suspect that if we do get a points deduction the Champagne corks will be popping in Humberside and Leicestershire!
Here is a totally neutral perspective..... 1st Cardiff City 2nd Watford 3rd Hull City 4th Leicester City 5th Palace 6th Brighton I think Watford will get close to Cardiff as they are on a hell of a run but not sure they will have enough to overtake them. Hull appear to be just slightly more consistent than you Foxes but it really is marginal. I think both you and Hull will be quite clear from 5th & 6th place. Whoever ends up in the play-offs is in for a hard route to promotion as both Palace and Brighton can play their nuts off on the right day.
Never take any pleasure in seeing teams get points deducted. Think the idea of penalising a financially troubled club by deducting points is ridiculous, it only adds to the problem. What the Football League/Prem could do would be to fine them, and the fine to be deducted from any agreed TV pay out for the next season. As for Watfords position, if the League feel that there have been irregularities cos of the loan system, they should have stepped in much earlier and already given a verdict. The Football League seem pretty toothless in these kind of situations and I would expect at the most a fine or slap on the knuckles.
I know what you're saying, but another way to look at it is that spending beyond your means is essentially cheating and that these clubs may well have picked up more points than they would have if they'd managed their finances properly (ie not spent money they don't have). So therefore a points deduction is just.
