In the unfair absence of my mentor, please feel free to request any historical facts that take your fancy...<ok>

Unlike him, I go back as far as the Bronze Age, when Sunderland was the epicentre of the developed world.....

That would explain the Mackem 'shades of bronze' skin tone.

    Yes, now that you asked.
It came about in circa 300 BC, round about the time Genghis Khan returned triumphantly with his bronze booty from Australia.

    Most certainly I can.

JR was shot in his home in Dallas by a sniper.
The sniper was called David, he took the shot from his basement in Pennywell, Sunderland.
The shot took 2 weeks to reach JR his ability to recover and wake up in the shower.

    Dead Heedor?

    Isn't that a bit premature? <yikes>

Dear Heedor, I have a historical fact question i hope you can help me with.

In Homer's Iliad, the notorious warrior Achilles was famously defeated when Paris fired an arrow just above his heel. Hence why we now refer to this part of the anatomy as the achilles.

My question is, what was this parg of the anatomy called BEFORE the incident with Achilles & Paris? Or was it always called this and that is why Paris knew it would therefore obviously be a weak spot?

Your insight would be much appreciated.

Good point, I hope that wasn't wishful thinking on behalf of Obi.
To answer the question, yes it is premature.
Whilst I have died twice to date, I've managed to make a quick recovery, although I'll be the first to admit, Senility has taken a hold at times.

I shall answer the question, but first I have to water the garden.
It's 3 miles wide, so it may take a while.

Ha, yes, I know quite a bit about body parts, in fact playing with my own, is one of my favourite pastimes.

A decent attempt at portraying Victorian Britain in the Middle Ages.

    Dear Uncle Heedor,

I am thinking of visiting our six-fingered friends and posting another thread on their board.

Is there a message from yourself that you would like me to convey to them?

    Yours

Dorts, I would just remind them that my mentor is due back from his round the world hot air balloon expedition.
Once back, I'm sure he will contribute to the board wholeheartedly and make their lives a living hell.

    Dear great uncle Heedor,

As the fountain of knowledge for all historical facts, I wonder if you could please resolve a long-standing debate for me and confirm which actually came first, the chicken or the egg?
