With Saints flying and being top half of the table and safely out of the Europewho League as well as being on the verge of a Wembley final in the big one and sensing the goodwill and optimism circulating St Marys of late generally I thought we should look at the highlights from the first half of the season

One of my faves is Nathan Redmond being the next Thierry From from ....

    THE MANAGER!!!!

    awesome

One of your more pointless threads Jonny, and that's saying a hell of a lot.

Pointless threads are my speciality but Jonny can take on that mantle if he likes.

When does he stop being a lad ? He has over 200 professional games under his belt, very few footballers play more than 600 games so he has played 33 per cent of most players careers. He does have the best goal to minute ratio of his career this season though

Well he is the same age as JWP and has shown much more than him in his professional career so far and we don't give JWP a hard time. So I suppose whilst being 22 isn't an excuse for being crap and you do need results, it's also worth being patient and accepting that he has time to improve.

So far Redmond has done much better than JWP in their club careers. Who will become better in the future is anyone's guess but JWP rarely actually plays really well. Redmond has done so a few times for us and plenty of times for Norwich before.

All I'm saying is that people forgive JWP for not being brilliant because of his age but they don't offer the same leniency with Redmond, who is the same age.

We will have to disagree on this MLSFC as Redmand has done little but infuriate me and his constant gobbing off at everyone around him drives me crazy.
JWP had his best game against Milan at SMS and no one in our team can deliver a dead ball as well as him. Like most of our midfielders he has struggled with both the constant rotation and our non expansive style.
Redmand has played virtually every game for some reason but haven't seen any improvement and I find watching him so frustrating as he rarelily comes up with a final product despite getting into some great positions
Personally would preserver with both young fellas. If the rest of the team were firing on all cylinders we wouldn't be having this discussion
    Keep the faith Buddy
