Good news, let's hope he can be fit for most of the season. I'm happy to have him back but annoyed we haven't signed someone permanent instead and are getting Jonny fit for another club. I guess if we can't afford quality then we'll just have to borrow it.
Biggest worry is, clock is ticking and no Murphy replacement yet! If we don't bring in a striker, I think MM will have made a big mistake but if he does bring in a striker then I will applaud Mick and class this window as successful
I reckon we've got enough strikers already. Unless it's somebody who will be a guaranteed starter and is far better than what we have I'm not too bothered.
I have to say I'm a strange way this is the most disappointing business we have done this summer for a few reasons. I think Williams is a very talented player however he's injured and I think he may block the progress of a few of our youngsters, what's the point in developing other people's youngsters when we have talented players in similar positions? Plus I don't like the way we played when he was last in the team, it was very much how we played with McGoldrick in the team. The rest of the team say solid and give Williams the ball and hope he does something worldy with the ball or wins a free kick. Last time he was here it was clear he was the most talented player on the pitch but our general play went downhill similar as when McGoldrick is in the team!!
Quality player ( when fit ) well done. Season long loans like this no one can moan about I don't think - it's the loan market used correctly. We have loads of absolute ballers at the club, Mick is clearly trying to move away from the horrible style - * Sears / Bishop / Ward / McGoldrick / Williams / Lawrence / Grant / Bru - ALL ball players and absolutely no point in trying to outdo sides the ugly way. Appears clear we're going to have a season of trying to play more - too many players like this to not. Although we could argue we need a striker, again to me it appears we're going 4-3-3 so one clear out and out striker. Pitman / Sears/ Best look the options, I think Best may be a bit like Alan Lee and surprise people. Put it this way, he's certainly better than many on forums think. Have a feeling there's one more deal out there though....
I don't have a problem with Best and as said in another thread, he adds something different but would still prefer a different Murphy replacement and think, like you weighty, that we will bring at least one more in and on a permanent deal.
