"Fulham Football Club Chairman Shahid Khan announced today that the Club and Mike Rigg, Chief Football Officer at FFC, have agreed to cordially part ways, effective immediately.

Rigg arrived at Fulham in January 2015 from the Football Association, where he served as Head of Talent Identification.

“I am thankful for Mike Rigg’s commitment and service to Fulham Football Club over the past two years,” Khan said. “Mike made many solid contributions to our club and I know he will be up to the next challenge in his football career. My personal best wishes go to Mike and his family.”

Khan added that today’s news will have no negative effect on the Club during the upcoming transfer window.

Care to speculate whether his role will be filled and if so, by whom?

As much as I would like Roy back at Fulham (preferably on the Board of Directors), I would be nervous about bringing in anyone above Jokanovic who would have their own plan. What we need is to find our David Dein/David Gill who will run the business side of transfers but ultimately deliver who the manager wants. I have no idea who that could be - people willing to put club before personal career are hard to come by.
