What is your greatest all time XI?

This is my greatest XI of all time:

    -----------------Yashin--------------
    Cafu---Beckenbauer---Baresi---Maldini
    ------------Zidane---Zico-----------
    ------Messi---Cruyff---Maradona----
    -------------- Pele-----------------

Subs: Banks, Moore, Carlos Alberto, Platini, Garrincha, Gerd Muller, Eusebio - scored 727 goals in 715 games that is unbelievably good.

Was really difficult to pick between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. It is a shame that Cristiano plays in the same generation as Messi because Ronaldo is the complete player. But I chose Messi over Cristiano because Messi is simply the worlds best player as he has broken so many records he's won x2 Fifa Ballon d'Or in 2010 and 2011 and also he has scored 287 goals in 344 appearances for Barcelona.

certainly the greatest winners against the odds. two goals down with ten men and no CBs left v the best team in modern history; and then beating Germans on pens in their own yard

Not sure players from the past can be compared to modern footballers.

I honestly think there wasn't many good footballers until the 80's. Meaning the really good footballing athletes such as Pele etc. we're playing against a poorer standard of football. It was like Messi playing Sunday league.

To me players such as Zidane, Henry, Fat Ronaldo, Xavi etc are/were playing against a much better quality opposition and are therefore much much better than di Stefano, Garrincha, Eusebio etc.

There no doubt they all were great players of their generation but comparing them to modern footballers, they don't even come close.
