By all accounts he was a very decent man, Very hard done by in the press. Sympathies to his family.

It was Phil Neal's fault. He did an after dinner stint at Crammy Juniors and it was the worst I've ever seen. His craic was horrendous and people were playing noughts and crosses at the table in the end. The night was saved by comedy impressionist Les Gibson of Britains Got Talent fame.

Actually met him on a train once (think it was his 2nd stint at Watford) - really decent bloke, just ended up chatting about footy for an hour or so.

Came across as a genuine fan of the game

How many days have we had without Chaos? Dead watch? RIP?

We need him to return and rip this RIP bollpcks to shreds.

Can't believe he's gone, it's a real turnip for the books

RIP - Given a raw deal when England manager. We just weren't very good and he was on a hiding to nothing after SBR got us to that Semi-Final.
