I agree with the policy of performance based contracts, but my only concern is that Bayo, Barcham etc who we're waiting to sign will deem this to be lacking ambition and search for other clubs who they may perceive to by more ambitious.

If there is one thing, I don't want to happen and that is to lose Barcham.

Hessy was talking about the need for pace, so if we lose him, it will be a serious backward step imo.

Ahh, so you are so keen to keep him that you are now inventing stories :)

Liked to look of him when you were in L1 but we are probably talking to him already <ok>

i think torquay are going to have budget cuts as well, and that is going to happen whether we are promoted or not,the days of quality and not quantity are finally arriving for all of us.Our yearly accounts from last year have not been released yet,i suspect they make frightening reading, and on 2500 gates cuts will be made

It's about time player's wages were capped anyway, the billionaires row has taken over our game, although not quite sure on the best method of managing that one.

Although capping probably wouldn't directly affect the lower leagues (dependent on the criteria), indirectly it would bring some sense back in to the game.

Either that or just watch more and more clubs go under, I also don't understand why lower league clubs such as ours need such large squads.

Yeah if we just cut the numbers hopefully we can just keep to a good team of players on the same sort of wage, but just with a few less.
