...where an orangutan could have done just as good a job! It's not as if the competition is there, is it, let's be honest! Where next for his management skills? Barca? Real Madrid?
I think he's found his level at Celtic, he has strengthened them and stamped his brand of attacking football on the team. Its not his fault Rangers got liquidated due to breaking financial rules. Fair play to the feller.
Hate doesn't come into it, he's a poor manager. shown up at LFC. Celtic are a shadow of Liverpool and the Premier League. They can't cut it in the Champions League even without him. He got the Celtic job fair play, but where's the competition in that league? There isn't any. They win the Scottish title, season in, season out. Rangers are their only opposition and they've been Eric Dier this season. Fortunately for him. Scottish footie is a borefest 'cos of Celtic.
Its not celtics fault the rest of the league are pony and neither is it Rodgers. He beat what's in front of him and To go season unbeaten which look like doing is no mewn feat even if opposition is poor. Keeping the motivation going now they've won the league is probably the hardest thing he'll have to do this season. Hesade that Celtic team stronger with few of his signings and be interested to see them in CL next year. Reckon he'll do a decent job there. Was being linked with Arsenal yesterday I think, not sure he's quite ready for that level role again just yet, maybe another couple year at Celtic and getting them competing properly in Europe or a move back to England at a team like saints West Ham, who are just outside that top 6.
So....given the fact that Scottish football gets only a small fraction of the money in English football you wouldn't say that they can only beat what's in front of them in any given league game? We are a wealthy club but can't compete with the two manc clubs or the chavs and arsenal in the transfer market and apart from the Rodgers/Suarez era near miss we ain't looked like winning the title for donkey's years. Would you be happy if we were in Celtic's position every season winning the prem?, as you're gonna say yes would you also find it boring? Off course not, its up to other clubs to step up to the plate or finish also rans(like us at the moment)
You are quite right...that said, the lack of competition in Scotland means Celtic can't claim they're all that, 'cos they're not. There was talk of them and Rangers binning the SPL entirely and jumping straight into the EPL at one time. 1. What qualifies them to do that? 2. Where was the guarantee they'd stay in the top flight and not be relegated? They're not the calibre of yer West Hams for instance.
Pony. That's what Celtic have as competition. Poor Hearts and Aberdeen, who do at least have a go, but they can't do the biz
The Scottish league is absolutely pathetic, like seriously. Celtic won 28, drawn 2, lost 0 One of the worst leagues in Europe. Well done BR.... slow
Rodgers deserves a better club than Celtic Some absolutely clueless twats managing in the PL Rodgers would be a step up for anyone outside the top 4
Taking the rivalry out of the equation, he'd be better for Everton and Man Utd than their current managers
He's Championship level if that. I'm not saying he couldn't manage a PL club in the future, but Liverpool was too soon for him. He needs to get his wings first before PL level comes along. He's no Conte or Guardiola and Pep isn't finding it easy right now in the EPL I'm sorry, but the Scottish teams, no matter who they are, your Celtics and Rangers, they just don't cut the mustard.
