Really? I thought it was OK, with those water cannons pointed at peaceable fans who had caused no trouble whatsoever. Totally unwarranted over the top display of aggression from their law enforcement people.
Really? Some might, but some might have just shrugged it off without fretting about it. And some may have even chuckled. They were from a range of backgrounds and it seems unlikely they all thought in unison.
Rather giving the thumbs-up to local constabulary rolling out water canon, I was more getting at the abhorrent ignorance shown by City fans at the sacrifice of the Belgian nation during mass European conflict.
Been to games in Italy, Belgium,Portugal, China, USA, Austria (from memory). Only seen the water cannon in Lokeren. Armed policeman in Chicago waved me on my way with his firearm as I tried to get close to Soldier Field in 1994. #HullLivesMatter
They were regularly deployed in Belgium and France during Euro 16 and you could move for the ****ing things in Japan at the World Cup.
I don't quite know why we're debating the deployment of water canon at Lokeren, nobody has said it was justified and (I imagine) we're all in agreement about the fact that it wasn't required.

What would be the appropriate chant for a peaceful well-ordered crowd when faced with intimidatory water cannons? "All we are saying is give peace a chance"?
Amazing isn't it that people - well, English people - seem to think we single-handedly won the war against Nazi Germany, conveniently ignoring that 40 times more Russians died during WWII.
Exactly Where the belgian police ****ed up is allowing belgian hooligans to throw bottles at city fans
