The performance of all clubs in the CL helps determine the coefficient. I'm not looking for anybody to 'earn' us a CL place. But clubs like ours, the Goons, and yours currently, have more chance of seeing CL football if we can maintain our 4 places.
True but if the qualification rules change then deal with it. Personally I haven't missed the CL at all as we wouldn't be competitive in it. I tend to go along with Bluey that it should still be a competition for champions although that would've meant we couldn't have won it in 99
But us as fans worrying about it is pointless, we have zero affect on it. However for me personally it takes away some of the elements that contribute to me enjoying the game if I'm always thinking I have to back an English team so we have more CL places.
Nor would Flukey McFlukepool in 2005 in the most flukey "winning" of any trophy by an English team ever
That's ok I think I get what you're on about, might be the same as Bod. I wouldn't want to get into it if I'm right as I would think it a bit low from most as there has been all sorts of trouble from a lot of fans over the years.
The massive irony being that this very club does absolutely **** all to help the coefficient by getting knocked out in the first knockout stage every year.
For the record, I laughed when City got knocked out and jumped out of my seat when Monaco got their third.
We got knocked out once in the group stage - this year. That's hardly every year. Our last appearence we reached the quarterfinals!...
